Inès Gandal, Graphics Director

Pronouns: she/her

Major: Communication (BA), Communication Management (MA)

ATC Member: Spring 2020 - Spring 2022

Inès has loved every minute of being at USC, and has thoroughly enjoyed her time on the ATC board thus far. You may have seen her in her ATC debut as Joyce/Pope Joan/Mrs. Kidd in Top Girls (2020). You’ve probably also seen her work if you follow ATC on social media, or have seen a show poster. As Graphics Director, Inès conceptualizes and creates our graphics for all announcements, projects, and many social media posts. Outside of ATC, Inès is still designing as USC Thornton Opera’s lead graphic designer. On the side, she has taken up making bread, loves to cook, and is an avid world traveler, sometimes taking as many as 22 plane rides in one year! Inès got started in theatre when she was 9 years old in a summer theatre program. She played a dwarf in Snow White. Other credits include Portia in Cinderella, Mayzie LaBird in Seussical the Musical, Ronnette in Little Shop of Horrors, Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Betty Haynes in White Christmas, and Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie. Fun fact: She’s been to college in all 4 corners of the US. Inès is also trilingual and working on becoming polyglot. Notable accomplishments include being a progressive degree student, so in her final year at USC she’s also a first-year graduate student in Annenberg studying Communication Management.

Her hopes for the future include working as a civil rights activist and performer. In her own words “I hope to work with industry leaders to bridge the gap between equity, inclusion, and diversity on-screen. I hope to go into film and television where I will work towards sharing the stories and lifting the voices of underrepresented people, creating a more diverse and representative media.”
